JON!!! i have the solution to your problems!!! i know what you need!!! only 
running on #2 with 3&4 wet and 1&2 completely dry is _very_ easy to fix! just
get a new motor! ;)
sorry if i raised your hopes too much, but i'm stumped too. if you really do
want a new motor (rebuilt or otherwise) i can get you in touch with a few 
people. in all honesty though, i hope you get it up and running. good luck! and
