Yes, that was worse than allot of the things I've seen from Iraq. At
least with an IED, most of the remains are unrecognizable, and with
small-arms fire, the body is not "largely" traumatized on the exterior
(excluding a head shot). This was horrible because it was so
disfiguring, yet still recognizable as a human being. I think this is a
case of us Yanks not appreciating fully the British penchant for
understatement. "These images are shocking" in the King's English
translates in American to "O.M.F.G, these are the most disturbing images
you will ever see, and they will cause you intestinal and emotional
discomfort for days. Under no circumstances should you look at these.
Seriously", or some variation on that, depending on regional dialect.
