The Tilton and the Weber are the EXACT same product. They are
developed, manufactured, and distributed by the same guy, Red Roberts.
Red told me about a year ago he was developing a more reliable version
of his bearings. He was taking the lead from the new bearing that is
presently used in Corvettes. However, I have not followed up on this
to see if he has actually produced them.
Tilton/Weber is a small company. Red answers this tech line
personally. His tech line isn't high tech. If he's on the phone it
will be busy, if he is not available to answer, it just rings. The
result is, speaking with Red is only going to happen based on luck or
persistence. If anyone would like to talk to him about his product,
