The seats

I cannot find in any of my manuals/books something to show which side the 
seat backwards-forwards lever goes on my '70 MGB !   Is it on the left for 
driver (L/H), and on right for passenger (R/H) ???  The rest I am guessing 
as there are no pictures anywhere that I can see
