All, I've seen pulled LS-1 engines go from $1200 to $4000 depending on mileage, etc. Northstars go for $600 to $5000 depending on size, year and condition. The northstar will take the Chevy S-10 bellhousing. Yes, it's a Caddy V-8 that takes the Chevy V-6 bolt pattern. I read that one of the holes has to be plugged and moved, and the starter is in a different place, but it appears to be no more than an afternoon's work for a hobbyist. Awhile back, I made contact with a fellow who is arguably the best machinist/tuner for the Northstar, and asked him about work on a Northstar/MG/Triumph project. He seemed interested and friendly. I can put you in contact with him if anyone is interested. I encourage someone out there to push the envelope!!!
