Some of the A/C ones are electric too. But don't the vacuum ones work
from manifold vacuum? Or do all domestic cars have a separate vacuum
pump to run the 'HVAC' system? I admit I don't know. In particular, though, what Dodge van and what part number are we looking for? Thanks JJJ Jim Stuart wrote: -----Original Message----- From: Jim Stuart [mailto:vze3swyy@verizon.net] Sent: Sunday, October 26, 2003 10:40 PM To: 'James J.'; 'Barrie Robinson' Cc: 'mgs@autox.team.net'; 'mgb-v8@autox.team.net' Subject: RE: Heater valve The heater valves found in A/C kits work very well, but they are vacuum operate, not cable operated as the MG valve is. They can be used, but will require an on/off switch & a vacuum motor. I have used a Dodge valve in the past that was cable operated, & it worked very well. I suggest you follow up on Jack Emory's suggestion. Jack has a real talent for finding alternatives.
