It was a clogged fuel filter. As usual: 2 steps forward 1 step back. I
had to repair some fuel line that was weak and disturbed by yours
truly!. Well, I still smell like gas. The electric diaphragm fuel pump
seems to have a problem. It clicks like mad all the time. If I turn the
pump on with the engine not running, the pressure will slowly rise above
10 psi! I took off a Carter pump (too noisy and it whined all the time).
I like th diaphragm types. Probably nostalgia for the old SW that was on
it for years. Jegs does not have anything but the Carter. Ditto for
Summit. JC Whitney lists a couple. Does anyone have a recommendation or
know about either one of these? Both are less than U$50.00. http://www.jcwhitney.com/product.jhtml?CATID=14821&BQ=jcw2 http://www.jcwhitney.com/product.jhtml?CATID=14822&BQ=jcw2 Regards, Keith /// /// mgb-v8@autox.team.net mailing list /// Send admin requests to majordomo@autox.team.net /// Send list postings to mgb-v8@autox.team.net /// Edit your replies!
