Dave,
I have the article in the 1986 "Hot Rod Engine Annual" and
the only mention of Volvo I can find is the use of Volvo intake valves as
oversize replacements in the 300 Buick head. It says they are .040 of an
inch longer and to shim the rocker stands to accommodate them.
All the pistons mentioned for the 9 different CID
combinations are either Buick, Chevy or Ford .
Of course Phil may have come up with several other combinations
