You can use a 215 Buick front cover, or an earlier version of the Rover
cover with provisions for a distributor. The dizzy drive is on the cam
shaft, & you may have to change it to an aftermarket item & buy a gear.

Subject: 4.6 ignition conversion
I am trying to discern if I can convert a 4.6 (1996) crank sensor fired to a
conventional distributor. Is the crank machined to accommodate dist gear?
Will a 3.5 BOP/Rover front cover work?
thanks,
jeff
