According to the TR8 service manual, the Rover 5-speed
gearbox capacity is 1.5 liters, or 3.3 US pints. I
have read elsewhere that it will happily accept 2
liters, and that it's not a bad thing to fill it up.
It is, however, difficult to drain and refill.
If you go with the GM synchro fluid, it's 12345349,
but shop around, as the price seems to range from
$5-19 a quart.
