and from the same company, their electric pump in the normal location:
MZE-WP125 Buick V6 and Small Block Electric Water Pump.
FEATURES:
Fully CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminum One piece main body. Not a pieced
together unit!
Efficient direct drive electric motor draws only 6-7 amps
Light weight. Complete standard Buick small block/V6 units weigh only 5.5
pounds
Efficient hydrodynamic design
Stainless steel large diameter main shaft
High performance shaft seal
35 GPM free flowing rating (standard version); 52 GPM (high flow version)
Suitable for street use
Integral bearing and seal housing design
Pump will clear cam belt drives and most blower drives
Available in many popular colors
All stainless steel hardware included
NOTES:
Meziere SB Buick pumps fit all rear wheel drive V6 and V8 196" to 350"
engines. They also fit the 1961 to 1963 215" block. They install with no
modifications necessary to the factory housing.
Pump is supplied complete with stainless hardware but without the inlet
fitting. The fitting needs to be ordered according to the size of the lower
radiator house. (Rubber hose and AN sizes available).
Gaskets Not supplied. RTV sealer or factory type gasket may be used.
When purchasing a pump for a 16 volt system we recommend the 18 volt motor
option. The 12 volt motor will work for limited use applications.
Meziere Main Section
$324.99
(Voltage multiplier boxes are available for several sources so that your
standard 12 volt system can be stepped up to a higher voltage DG)

Craig Automotive Cooling Fans</A>
NOT THE BOOSTER PUMP!! At the top of the screen click on the EWP (electric
water pump) Introducing the world's first universal fit, automotive
Electric Water Pump EWP..
The new, revolutionary designed Davies Craig EWP Electric Water Pump is a
performance accessory that increases cooling capacity while giving you more
engine power - in fact, up to 20 HP (15 kW) more power!
Usually the most difficult condition to cool a car engine is when it is
stationary and idling in high ambient temperatures. In this situation, the
mechanical pump produces its minimum flow rate of about 20 litres per minute.
At the highest engine speed that rate is typically increased to about 180
litres per minute but because the coolant is flowing so fast, it spends less
time in the radiator and very little extra heat is removed than when the flow
rate is about 80 litres per minute. The power taken by the pump increases
dramatically at high flow rates because the resistance to flow offered in the
radiator also increases.
The Davies, Craig electric pump operates at its maximum efficiency design
rate of 80 litres/ minute when the full 12 volts is applied to its motor. But
in most situations even that rate is more then necessary so Davies, Craig has
developed a solid state intelligent controller. It senses the temperature in
the engine and then varies the voltage between 4 and 12 volts to the pump
motor thus varying the pump speed so that the engine temperature is precisely
controlled to a set temperature. Current consumption for 90% of motoring time
will be less than two amps and up to six amps when the pump is full on. The
company has taken out patents and design registrations on the product.
The Davies, Craig electric pump will be sold as a conversion kit at around
$280, and the smart controller option will cost a little less. Both will
carry a two-year warranty. The modification involves removing the mechanical
pump, pulling off the impeller from the pump shaft, and re installing the
mechanical pump housing and its belt. Now the pump is an idler pulley doing
no work and causing no drain on the power to the wheels. Alternatively you
can just delete the water pump pulley from the belt system.
