Does anyone know how much additional clearance is gained when installing
a Buick 300 water pump in place of the stock Buick 215 long nose water
pump?? The steel/aluminum fan that I have sticks up too far so I am
replacing it with an electric one, but I need more clearance. I went to
the junk yard today and found a 14 inch Hayden fan, for $25, that fits
the stock MG V8 radiator perfectly. The fan was installed as a pusher
fan on an '89 Murker (I found out that the hood release for the Murker
is located on the bottom of the steering column - a little tough to
find!). Once I got home I discovered that the fan blade is reversible
so that I could make it in to a puller fan. Thanks for the help.
