The other day I bought the oil pump kit from the 3.8L Buick engine. This includes the lower half of the oil pump that angles the filter fwd, and oil pump gears. Can these gears be used in the V8 pump or should I just toss them? My pump is rebuild but I wonder if the new gears from the 3.8 are worth keeping.
