It only took a week but I found it. In the June 1961 Hot Rod Magazine there is a picture of Vic Edelbrock with a 215 on a platform scale. The weight was 266 lbs. The caption read that the flywheel weighed 23, the exhaust manifolds 24 and the generator 21. This makes the 1961 road ready total at 334 pounds. Thank heavens for alternators and headers..... |
