As I re-assemble my 1961 Buick 215 I am wondering about some assembly items.
On the front of the camshaft I have a bolt, lock washer, flat washer, timing
chain gear and the mechanical fuel pump eccentric.
I was wondering about both washers. Is the lock washer supposed to be there?
My flat washer is a home made cobbled up affair. Somewhere along the way
someone probably couldn't find the washer they took off the engine and in
desparation made one. This washer is not a pretty sight. Can someone tell me
if the washer is supposed to be a hardened and thick flat washer? Or is it
some kind of machined washer?
