leaf spring windup

does anyone have any experience with a center mounted torque arm with a
coil-over shock to control wheel hop? I want to try it on my project car. No
room to mount over top like dirt track cars but found a little room on the
right side of the differential. My question is, how far off center can it be
so as not to cause one side to still wind up a little?
