7/3/99 Hello all, To what extent can the Buick 215 heads be modified with larger valves, etc, in any way similar to the Buick 300 heads, as described by Phil Baker and others? The distance between valves is the same as the 300 but the combustion chambers are considerably narrower. I do realize that the ports are smaller also, but this may not be a big problem for a mild engine build? Specifics would be appreciated, as to what parts can be used. Also, where can one aquire the Precision brand B-5038 Bronze Valve Guides (5/16" stem) mentioned by Baker in the 1985 Hot Rod article? TIA, David Kernberger |
