Hey all!
The list has been quiet...so I went out and bought another
MGB V-8 project! A 1967 GT, that had been poorly converted
(by the DPPO--the guy who had it before the guy I got it
from) to a Chevy 350. The guy I bought it from is a Brit car
enthusiast, and went about finding a correct engine for the car.
Well, what I've got now is a GT body needing some
attention, and the complete driveline (well, minus whatever
was cut off of the driveshaft to make it fit the 'B) from a
fuel injected SD1. The engine is disassembled, looks to
be in ok shape, with no noticable ridge in the bores, swirl
pattern still evident, probably needs at least cam and
lifters. The fuel injection system is in wonderful shape.
On top of all that, the car is sitting on some gorgeous
magnesium Revolutions! The driveline had been installed
in the car, then removed for engine rebuild. A lot of the
bits and pieces have been powder coated. Too cool!
Now I've just got to get the thing from Atascadero to San
Diego...
What fun!
