Hi V8 gang,

I'm making good progress with locating parts for my 75 B conversion. TR8
engine and TR7 transmission. Looking for a MGC rear end. Anybody know
where I can find one ?

I'm dissassembling the car now, and planning to visit Glen Towery on Dec 1
to get a real feel for the project, drive one of his cars, and see / buy
his video.

Talked to Kurt last night and got the phone numbers for Roger Neal and
Keith Childs who did 75 conversions, I'll call them the next couple of days
unless you're on the list.

I've heard / read alot about making the cars safe. Brakes - since the car
doesn't weigh any more with the V8 engine, what is the rationale for
upgrading the brakes. If you drive the speed limit, there's no more force
to stop than a standard B. How much do the larger pads with the existing
calipers and rotors help ? Do you really need to go with the new rotors
and calipers.

Sway bars - the 75 doesn't have them, and I'm considering adding them.
Robin W. said that the rubber bumper cars already have stiffer springs that
are V8 friendly and I shouldn't consider lowering the car to chrome bumper
height.

I still have a nagging inkling to convert to chrome bumpers. Can somebody
give me a quick list of what's needed to do that.

I'm having so much fun !!!

Safety Fast,

Rick Huber
