POST WAR RALLY/RACE CAR=C2=A0=20

Offered for sale is a rare example of a Post War Hot Rod modified sports ca=
r. This 1948 MG TC (EXPAG #5025) is one of a handful of early MG TCs modifi=
ed in the U.S. for street legal weekend racing. This car was upgraded with =
an infamous 1937/1940 Ford V8 60 engine equipped with all of the 1950=E2=80=
=99s period correct high performance equipment. These engines were successf=
ully used in dirt midgets or small hydroplane racing applications.=20

EXPAG #5025 was raced in the Mid Michigan region from the mid 1950=E2=80=99=
s to the late 1960=E2=80=99s and was an early member of the SCCA (#732) and=
, still obtains its original member tag on the firewall. The car won numero=
us plaques and trophies which unfortunately were sold separately at an esta=
te auction.=20

The car is currently in need of restoration, however, is a perfect candidat=
e for running at events such as the Monterey Historics or other vintage rac=
