Well yes and no - $90 for the tow home and $50 a new dist cap - but at least
I now have a spare dist cap, and I will buy one of those rotors for Jeff.

Congratulations, that was a cheap fix.
You should contact Moss as I am sure they would want to know that your rotor
has failed. ISTR a problem with their disty caps a few years back having a
similar problem.

Well you were all dead right. I was down there fiddling around just now and
while looking for something else I found the original tatty looking Lucas
rotor arm that came with the car 11 years ago- which I had discarded in favour
a nice shiny new Moss one.
So having tried everything else I stuck in in and away it went. Good old
Lucas
- I will not insult their good name ever again, well probably.
