Thanks, Lew. In looking at my lamp unit, it does not appear to have any
provision for a screw base bulb. The "side terminal" looks like a bayonet type
barrel and the center terminal is down in the bottom, where you would expect.
There is also a spring in the center. The unit looks like it should take some
sort of bayonet bulb.
Have no idea where this came from. was in the car when I got it.
