Which is why my TC floorboards caught on fire several times during the first
trip I took after buying it in 1970 - a pinhole in the muffler was blowing
exhaust right at the floorboards. It was no problem to put the fire out
while driving, till the water ran out.

What really got my attention was the 'floorboard' above the muffler had
become totally discolored from the heat. It looks like a good potential for
a fire. I wonder what the folks in the 50's did with this problem.
