They don't appear to be _all_ that difficult to sew. If one had an
old tonneau that fit well, the vinyl in various colors can be found at
top, upholstery and canvas shops. A company called SailRite has lots of
choices. It would seem that the vinyl, if warm, would be soft enough for
home sewing machine to penetrate if a needle with eye large enough for
the thread could be found. The only difficult part would be getting the
shape of the fascia curves right, but one could buy enough extra material
to make a couple of fitting errors.
