One hose comes from a modified plate on the back of the head that has an
oulet added and the other
comes from I do not know where.
<<<Snip>>>
The back of the head is one of the coolest engine coolant places on the
engine. It's water is coming directly from the pump and the bottom of
the radiator.
The factory knew what it was doing when it added a heater take off plug
on the thermostat housing for the TF.
If you want a heater that works, you must get the water from just before
the thermostat, and return it to the bypass pipe which feeds the water
pump.
Thus when the thermostat is closed, the water flows from before the
thermostat to the heater and returns to the pump to be circulated again.
You will also want a shut off valve in the line between the thermostat
housing and the heater.
