Hello.
Perhaps you can try to remove the thermostat housing, instead of the
radiator (or the engine..).
I recently installed a new set of kevlar reinforced hoses, and they are
definitely very rigid. As far as the other smaller hoses, I had to trim some
of them in length, because there was not enough space to fit them between
the pipes.

I received a nice big box of shiny Moss parts yesterday and though I
would do something simple and pleasurable and fit the new cooling hoses.
All went well till I got to the top hose - is it possible to fit this
sod without lifting the radiator or dropping the engine!!
First of all it seems about an inch longer that it should be. Before I
start chopping at it I thought I would ask if this is a common
difficulty. I have tried soapy water, pleading and swearing - but it
will not go close to sliding on. Would putting it in boiling water help?
In fact there is no bodywork on the front of the car so it would not be
too hard to lift the radiator just now - but how do you do it on a dark
and stormy night?
Cheers
Douglas
