Some time ago we had a thread about switching the ignition coil leads when
changing to negative ground. I didn't think it would mater, but I was wrong. I
work for a large automotive parts manufacturer. An ignition expert there
informed me that the wrong coil polarity requires an additional 2000 volts to
fire the plugs. That's something we definitely want to avoid with our non-HEI
system.
