Rocky, attached is a pix of the two clevis' that fit on the end of a rod that 
is threaded both ends....one end might be left hand thread.  Mine is stored 
away right now.  These then fit on brackets that are attached to bolts where 
the bonnet side valence joins the fenders.  The rod passes under the water pump 
and is very hard to see much less photograph.
Others should be able to add to or correct my description  this......
Also attached is a drawing of the bracket and a pix showing the bracket 
attached to the valence....in this picture the rod there is the radiator stay 
bar 
and not the cross bar.
