All front brake cylinders are identical.  So it's the direction they
face that's critical.  On the LH front wheel, the front cylinder's
piston, (the part with the adjuster) should face down, while the rear
cylinder's piston should face up.  On the RH front wheel, it's again the
same: the front cylinder's piston should face down and the rear
cylinder's piston should face up.  The correct position of the cylinders
for the RIGHT HAND SIDE is shown in figure M.6. of the factory workshop
manual.  I.E., regardless of side of the car the wheel cylinders on the
front of the car that are closest to the bumper should point down while
the other two face up. 

If you're doing a complete brake job, but won't be driving the car for a
while, don't lubricate the seals with brake fluid.  Lubicate them with
red brake grease.  Leave the system dry of fluid until you're ready to
put the car on the road.
