After completing the resto on the chassis and drive train on my '53 TD I
have finally started on the tub, and I am sorely dissappointed. DPO had
welded in sheet metal floors and rear axle cover. Upon removal, the metal
tub frame is in sad shape, as is the tranny tunnel.
Sooooo.....I am in the market for a good restorable tub if anyone has one
for sale within a reasonable drive of western North Carolina, near
Asheville. I already have several new wood replacement timbers, but would
like to avoid a lot of welding.
All info appreciated. Sympathy cards also accepted.
