About a year ago I had the needle valve jam closed in the front carb
float bowl while running at about 4000 rpm. So no fuel at all to the
front carb. I replaced both front and rear float bowl needle valves. A
sharp tap with a wrench probably would have freed it up, and it might
have run for a long time without happening again. If that was Tom's
problem the needle might have bounced free by itself.
