Normal?  Maybe....all mine do it!  You are probably running rich or maybe a 
little valve guide wear that is letting a little oil creep into the engine when 
its sitting.
Get someone to follow you, warm up the car, find a steep hill.  Then while 
decending the hill let up of the gas....if the observer observes a puff of 
smoke 
when you do that, its an indication of worn valve guides.  Most likely tho, 
your SU Carbs need to leaned a wee bit.
