Dear Frustrated:

Pressure is pressure no matter whether it be air or fluid. Bleeding the 
system will not improve the situation.  
The switch you inserted actuates on a higher pressure than that desired for 
normal braking on your system.  Unfortunately there is probably no remedy but 
to find a lower actuating pressure unit.
