I agree with both Terry and Ray! If the car will sit a lot, a gel battery
is great. On the other hand if you will be using the car regularly (and why
not?) a regular battery is fine.
Might as well make sure your charging system is right first, and the
charge gets through the terminal ends, that is, they are brushed clean with a
battery brush. Also check that the electrolyte is up to the split tubes, and
give it a good overnight charge on an 8 amp (or so) charger. From there if
you're still having a problem with the battery, then make your choice.
