They are not the same.  The RHD pedal shaft doesn't have the lever on
it.  It's a plain shaft and doesn't rotate.  The clutch pedal has the
lever on the bottom which opperates the cable, or rod.

The RHD pedal shaft has a lever on the end.  The clutch pedal is keyed
to the shaft so the shaft rotates when the clutch is used.

Look at the clutch illustration page E.2 of the factory workshop manual.

On a RHD car the clutch pedal is closest to the transmission while the
brake is furthest.  On a LHD car it is reversed.  The clutch pedal is
now futhest from the transmission and the brake is closest.  Thus MG had
to move the motion of the pedal to the right by using a keyed to the
shaft clutch pedal and another lever closer to the transmission.
