Hello Lee,
Keep in mind the air pressure is actually what determines
the weight carry capacity of a tire. The optimum pressure
factory recommendation is a overall average of varies
factors such as:
1; ride comfort
2; braking
3; handling
4; tire life
5; weight of the vehicle
While 22 psi may be suggested, it may not be the best for
your particular application.
Regards;
Walt
P.S. I run 19 lb/ft2 in my TD

Put a new set of 165R15 steel belted radials on the Pumpkin

(53 TD).
They're tubed.

Tire dealer has a publication with reccomended tire
pressure for old cars.
Believe it or not the TD is listed. Publication sez 22
lbs. Sounds
awfully low to me.
Make international calls for as low as $.04/minute with Yahoo! Messenger
