A couple of list members have requested photos of my TF, because of
it's
"original" condition (side curtains, top, spare, carpet, tool roll, owners
manual, upholstery, etc are all original). It had been sitting for 34
years in the previous owners garage, until he rolled it out to take some
pictures of it when he sold it to me. I will go to the shop (Mike
Goodman's in Van Nuys, CA) this weekend (if he is open) and take a bunch of
digital pictures of the engine compartment, the dash, under the dash, and
anywhere else anyone wants me to take pictures of. If you want some of
these picture just let me know and I will zip them up and email them
to you. Let me know how big a file you can handle since the file size
runs around 350K per shot (I can compress them as well, just let me know
how much compression on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the most compression -
and most lose of detail). I have a DSL connection so it doesn't hurt me a
bit to send a 20Mb file to someone
I am going to start a MG page on my web site, but can not do it until
after Christmas or March 7th (20th wedding anniversary). I purchased this
car as a surprise 20th anniversary present for my wife, who knows nothing
about it yet. Because I lack a place to work on the car, if Mike is
finished with the work (start and stop; engine, fuel, and brakes) before
Christmas, I will probably have to give it my wife as a
Christmas/Anniversary present, and then finish the work at home. Not a
frame off restore, just nice enough for driving around since this car is
going to be driven daily, not a concourse competitor.
