I have a TD MkII. At one time I had radials on it. When they wore out
three years back, I put on Firestone tires, repros of the Firestones of
1950s.
Although I like the appearance, I believe that the radials are superior
under all driving conditions.
Any radial will have a smaller rolling circumference than the original
550x15 Dunlops, and that raises the question of rear axle gearing.
