The bronze ones are original TD, the steel ones probably from an MGA. If you
replace one coil, use a used one, otherwise the car will list to one side. I
know I have used brass trunnions, I would have to check on a spring. Two new
one springs would be "better", but nobody's replacement units are exactly
rated the same as original factory ones. They are closer to MGA or MGB  and
therefore stiffer (the later cars were heavier so the springs were rated
higher)
