A) Open up the slats!!

e) Use 30% antifreeze or less and a rust inhibitor.
f) Use a coolant enhancer, i.e. Water Wetter

Two years ago, I returned from GOF Central in Lawrence, KA in 105 degree heat.
The engine temperature ran 93 degrees Celsius when driving at a steady pace of
50 MPH. Any faster and the temp would rise up to 95 so we would slow down to
keep it from going higher. It was still 90 degrees Fahrenheit at midnight in
Nebraska.

The stage IIA engined car had a standard cooling system except:

1) No thermostat and the bypass closed off
2) 50% antifreeze (Now 30%)
3) A coolant enhancer
4) Only ONE set of fan blades
5) Radiator slats still set as when I got the car (I have since open them up to
show 50% of the core)

Remember an engine fan usually be comes ineffective at speeds above 30 mph and
in some instances will actually inhibit the air flow at high speeds!!
