It was with regret that I learned today of the death of Earl Pierce, MG
enthusiast extrordinaire. Earl died in his sleep Tuesday. Some of you may
have met this white haired gentleman at the NAMGBR Vancouver gathering this
last year. He always had a smile and a word of encouragement or a joke
when we would meet. He was the proud owner of a red MGB, nicely restored,
his "good" car, a green MGB for the daily driver category, and an Elva. A
memorial service will be held Monday, January 3, at 2 PM at St. Marks
Epispocal Church in Berkeley. If you plan on attending, please bring some
kind of food to share at the gathering after the service. Earl was one of
the mainstays of the MG Owners Club of Northern California, attending most
of the meetings, natters, and events sponsored by the club, and also
putting on a few of his own. He will be missed sorely, but at least he was
able to drive his cars until the last.
