Luvax Girling type PVA6X shock absorbers were originally fitted to the TD. These were changed sometime in 1953 to Armstrong Is9, which were also fitted to the TF. As a matter of interest these later Armstrong shocks were left generally in unpainted alloy but the lever arms were painted black. I hope this helps Regards from the UK.
