Many years ago when I first got my MGTF I had a LOT of non-standard
modifications to correct. Actually I am still working on some.
One thing the car had was a non-standard shifter assembly. This is a long
'S' shaped shift lever that curves down into a housing that mounts to the
top of the gearbox. Clearly it was an original shifter on some British car
that used the T-series gearbox. I ran across it in the garage today and
thought I'd ask if anyone might be able to hazard an informed guess about
it's original use.
