Hi Lin, Welcome to the P-Type world. You didn't mention where you live in KY, but if you're close to Ohio, we have 2 PA's and 2 PB's (one is mine) in our restoration shop right now that you could photograph and compare to yours. We're 3 hours north of Cincinnati. SAVE the seat adjuster brackets on the bottom of those seats. They go on the upper rear corners of the bench seat back. I didn't see much of anything else in the seat photos that looks correct, but it's very difficult to tell for sure if they are 4 seater front seats due to the current black (& well padded) covers. However, excellent new wooden seat bottoms and the bench seat back are available in the proper colors. Two questions: 1, WHERE IS THE NE that was in Nashville?? 2, Have you joined the NAMMMR? The body tub is most likely the original one but with newish metal on the front quarters. It could have been a decent job, replacing the original metal but not cutting the slot for the trafficator, or, more typically, probably a hack job of bending new metal over the existing rusty sheet metal. There may be remains of the trafficator slot hidden behind somewhere. Are you aware the factory data file on your car is available from the MG Car Club? After supplying them the chassis number (and credit card number), you receive photocopies of any data in the file, which usually includes the original color scheme and owners name, etc. Good luck and enjoy your PA. tommm in Ohio ----- Original Message ----- From: "Lin" <jlsharpemg@gmail.com> To: <mg-mmm@autox.team.net> Sent: Tuesday, October 24, 2006 1:02 AM Subject: PA Seat Question Hello, /// unsubscribe/change address requests to majordomo@autox.team.net or try /// http://www.team.net/cgi-bin/majorcool /// http://www.team.net/mailman/listinfo /// Archives at http://www.team.net/archive/mg-mmm /// Send list postings to mg-mmm@autox.team.net |
