Good, quality chrome plating is not inexpensive. There is a great deal of hand 
work necessary before the copper, nickle and chrome layers. The surfaces must 
be smooth and the planes meet just right at the corners.
 
It is getting harder to find craftsman that will take the time necessary...the 
price seems reasonable in light of the $195-250 I pay for a steering wheel 
rechrome (4-5 components).

Does anyone know of an economical source for chrome plating a J2 radiator
shell.  The price in Fort Smith, Arkansas is around $600.00.
