Alex I aligned mine using a clock guage mounted onto the top fork of the dynamo, and reading the inside face of the VD bearing hole in the front of the head. As I recall the figure to aim for is about 2 thou #max# of centre. Note that you will probably have to move the front housing in the fore and aft direction as well as rotating it.
