Fellow MMM'ers,
As you know, this year marks the 75th Anniversary of the M Type and the 18/80
MG. And it is also therefore the 75th for the vintage Morris Minor as well.
The Vintage Minor Register is holding an Anniversary weekend for all these cars
based at Prescott - 18th to 20th July. All vintage, MMM and pre-war MG's are
warmly invited. There will be a garden party at prescot on Saturday, including
MG and Morris Concours and unlimited untimed climbs of Prescott on Saturday (a
rare opportunity which was very popular with MMM Register members last year).
But that is not all - the weekend includes a stunning open air "Last Night of
the Proms" conert on Saturday evening at Sudeley Castle, complete with the
English Symphony Orchestra, the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and a
firework finale set to music - just bring your Champagne and Union Jacks!
There are also pub runs on Friday (The Royal Oak at Gretton) and Sunday (the
National Trust-owned Fleece Inn at Bretforton, near Evesham) evenings, and a
challenging VSCC-style Navigation Rally on Sunday (including a touring class
for the navigationally challenged), starting at Sudeley Castle and concluding
with cream teas and results at a restored water mill in the Cotswolds.
Clubs which have been invited include the VSCC, the MGCC (including all the
pre-war Registers), the Early MG Society and the Bullnose Morris Club. The
event is open to all pre-war cars.
