Hi All!
My PA came to me with what I think is hydraulic TC brakes. I have purchased
new backing plates, new brake drum and new axle shafts. The front brakes went
on fine. When I assemble the rear brakes, there is about a 1/4" gap between
the brake drum and the baking plate. I can see part of the brake shoes. The
rear bearing carrier has a 1/16" or less clearance to the thin headed baking
plate mounting bolts. So I think the bearing carrier is in the proper
position. The shoulder of the rear hub does fit into the bearing carrier as
it should. The outside shoulder of the rear hub fits into the brake drum as
it should. Could the thickness of the bearing carrier be wrong? What is the
correct thickness? Is a TC bearing carrier thicker?
Thanks in advance for the help!
