Don,
Easy, buy new track rod and drag link ends. There is a difference in
the make up of the spring and cup configuration between the drag link and the
track arm, plus, the track rod is left and right hand threaded. This is to
allow you to adjust the tracking. They come complete with new ball pins.
Dowley offers them cheap enough. If your rod threads are in good shape you
should have no problem there. Make sure they are straight, roll on a flat
surface.
It makes sense to magnaflux the steering drop arm and stub axles and drop
arms.
