Thanks for all the responses.  My L-1 wiring diagram is almost unreadable as
it is a copy of a copy of a copy....  Does this mean that my TA is Negative
earth also?

 I will have to come up with a new motto.  I keep on telling all my friends
who have newer M.G.s with alternators or who have changed their older cars
over to negative ground that "Positive Earth is a state of mind!"
